Our Team Unbreakable Run Program has adopted the model of the highly successful youth at risk run-therapy program developed by Trillium Health Partners in Mississauga, Ontario. It has since been introduced as a recreational (non-treatment) program for kids and youth into elementary and high schools and community organizations, as well as into other healthcare organizations and hospitals as a clinical treatment program similar to what Trillium offers.

Recent science has shown there is a significant correlation between physical activity and improved mental health. We invite you to browse our “articles” section to read more. One excellent resource is Spark by Dr. John Ratey, a clinical associate professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. In his words, “Exercise is the single most powerful tool you have to optimize your brain function…exercise has a profound impact on cognitive abilities and mental health. It is simply one of the best treatments we have for most psychiatric problems.”

It’s how we want kids and youth to feel.  Our goal is for young people to be strong and resilient. We want to give them the tools and resources that instill in them the confidence to overcome the challenges they face.

It’s what our Team Unbreakable Run Program in schools, communities, and healthcare settings is delivering.
