Team Unbreakable Run/Walk Events

Team Unbreakable organizes run/walk events to encourage family and community participation, helping bring people closer to the issues, raising awareness and helping reduce the stigma of mental illness. We work directly with Schools and Community Centers in Toronto, York, and have satellite programs across Ontario. The organization holds multiple 5k runs a year, including our longstanding Fathers Day 5k in Port Credit, and the growing Unbreakable 5k/Bold and Cold runs in Toronto.

Seminars – Corporate, Community & Organization

This is a speaking program intended for a variety of community-based audiences to raise awareness and help reduce stigma. The presentation can be customized for a specific audience area of interest, or for a local Team Unbreakable partner to add its own local content.  It can also provide educational content of particular interest to parents and educators.

safeTALK training course

Presented by Jennifer Brighton, MSW, RSW and/or Keara Gillis, safeTALK is a three-hour alertness workshop that prepares anyone over the age of 15 to become a suicide-alert helper regardless of prior experience or training. Most people with thoughts of suicide don’t want to die but are struggling with pain in their lives. Typically through their words and/or actions, they invite help; and, safeTALK-trained helpers can recognize these invitations and then take action by connecting them with life-saving intervention resources.
